The Update.

Earthquake measuring 8.7 hit northern sumartra earlier this morning. For those who juz came back from Mars, This is rather significant becoz juz over 3 mths ago, a similar quake caused Tsunami so huge that it killed 200K++ people.

It was one terrible day for alot of people when the tsunami hit and a lifetime of sadness for those who lost their love ones in the disaster.

Many nations swing into action to help the tsunami hit areas with money and aid in whatever ways possible. Im proud to say that i attempt to make the biggest donation of my life. Note the word 'attempt' becoz it didnt went through. but thats another story altogether. However, i have resolve to do more good deeds and make regular donations to all charity organisation from that faithful day...

This time around, when a quake of 8.7 struck, everyone sat up and was ready to run.

Thankfully, the consequence this time is much less severe limiting itself to juz tremors around the region.

But i was thinking....why is it that its always near indonesia? Was it a sign? Was there a meaning behind all the sufferings?

And then i stumble upon the following article.

I was thinking....Maybe the quake were searching for a certain group of people. Sorry, i sound a tab bit insensitive but frankly, im a firm believer of the following pharse, 'Never bite the hand that feeds you'.

Lastly, I really hope that no one is very affected this time around and that everyone is safe except for materials damage. Houses and building can always be rebuilt. The loss of a love one would be harder to stomach..

I know i haven been updating my blog of late but i swear its becoz i have more than i can handle.

Its not everyday that i find myself drowning but i guess the past 2 weeks were the closest i got to drowning.
Wait, maybe, im just trying to be busy.

I have no idea. Like i say, perceptions are the truth....i think im busy. Perhapes im not.

1) Big one is coming. The Final one. The last school exam in my life (i hope). Im trying to focus. Really.

After this, it will close one chapter of my life at least. Not that i have enjoyed my study life but i lived through a good part of my life studying so......i guess it cannot be too bad. Gonna miss some friends when we all finish school. Its a sad thing coz friends part when school finish, no matter how close.


2) Aussie trip! HAhah...going to go down under with my friends. The thing i like about this is that i have one friend who is super super 'enthu' whcih basically leaves the rest of us doing nothing much. HAhahahaha.... Thats what i call a holiday.

The original plan was to go HK but after CS fell out due to personal reasons, i figure there no pt holding back and going somewhere near. Its a pity coz we could have so much fun together...i mean, we can chk out all the nite clubs with the mamasans. <---thats whats HK is famous for...isit it??? The movies always show this...

So i guess we'll have to settle for kingcross...ahahah...the red light district of sydney. I bet they do this one in all the ang-mo movies.

Been to aust a couple of times liao... but i figure, with different company, it will juz be like i've never been there before... ahahahah.... Its not the place. Its the company.


Hey...see, i wasnt that busy at all. HAhahahah...
Life is good. i'll blog more soon. Must do some heavy writing now.

This is the last installment of the Chinese New Year House visits.
Its been slightly more than a month already...how time flies. Soon, next year's Chinese New Year would come and go... I hope there will be juz as many photos then.

Either that or chinseng's mama refuses to give john a bigger angpao. I strongly believe that john had earlier called and requested for a bigger angpao since he was riding to chinseng's house while the rest of us took bus. He say its to cover the petrol.... hahahah....

Overheard this morning..

'Schools should do more to prepare students for life'

I almost fell off my chair when i heard the above over radio this morning. Im surprise that some students in Singapore actually have the cheek to suggest that. I reckon someone is going to kill me by the time i finish writing but i simply do not see the logic of how school should do more and prepare these students for life.

First, i take offense that they suggest the above. Simply becoz if they are asking for school to teach them about life now... then what does it make me? 20 years of my school life gone to waste? Im juz a notes crunching monster? Im a less person than what i would be if someone from my cohort (20 years ago) had stood up and demand that schools teach us more then??

Second, whats the real reason why these students even go to school? To spend time while their parents are neglecting them? To spend time while their parents themselves demand that their bosses teach them more about life too? (since no one from their cohort stood up and asked for the same thing 40 years ago)

Frankly, if you ask me, these students are simply plain lazy. They simply want the schools to scrap the exam system so that they dun need to go through them and since these 'Smarty a*s' are already in 'top' schools, no one would really label them 'stupid'. Pity those more diligent students from neighbourhood schools who dun have the luxury of skipping exams (O level included). All these simply by asking for a more fulfilling and complete education system.

Kiss my hairless as*! COme on! A SCHOOL IS A PLACE WHERE YOU GO TO LEARN YOUR ABCs... if you have a problem with that, DUN COME TO SCHOOL! LEARNING ABOUT LIFE should be taught by YOUR PARENTS (SORRY IF YOU DUN HAVE ANY) and through your life experiences.

Dun come up with lame themes like the above to attract attention and gain publicity. YOu cant be a better person by asking for more to be done becoz life is a journey and discovery. No teachers out there is equip to teach the subject except yourself. If you cant even figure out that fact, you should kiss my hairless a**!

Mr Tharman Shanmugaratnam, with all due respect, you ought to stop making so many changes to the education system. Why change something thats unbroken? These bloody students obviously have too much time on their hands to be so vocal. Give them 9 subjects each year and i advise you to take a good tour around all the 'top' schools and tertiary institutions to see how short skirts have grown.

Humph! Can you dig that?!

I do not know what goes through your pea-brain but when you do that, u inevitably irritate people like me (and the sleeping auntie in front) when you poke your bag into me when you try to balance yourself while the bus turned.

And yes, i have been noticing you. YOU READ A GRAND TOTAL OF 2 WORDS during the entire bus journey. NEXT time you do this, i'll make sure your bloody story book ends up in some second hand book store.

Shall start the week with another entry.

Max is sitting beside me. He looks stressed. Most prob worrying about how he cant get enough 'A's this sem to get his first class honours..

Sometimes, i feel blessed when im not as smart as the bulk of the population.

Anyway, heres something cheerful.

This is about our trip to Max's house during CNY.



Max actually asked us to eat an unpeeled orange before going to his house. iTs a ritual. Dun ask me why..



Oh well, i guess love is still in the air.

Daniel, i have news for u, MAX usually study in his hall. 6 days aweek.

Okoki, some of my friends are still moody and im still trying very hard to make myself a better person..

Today, its about Yusheng!
Actually, yusheng is not fantastic. Its the company...i guess.



The Usual people were there.



Yesyes, including Junhao. Hope he dun dig his nose today. I dun wanna anything extra in my Yu Sheng..

Sadly, the fav part of the dish is not the slices of fish.. its the KO-RO-POK that comes with the yusheng.
