Perceptions are the truth

There used to be a time when the internet has not proliferate throughout the world.
Back in those times, the only source of info came through newspaper. And since internet wasnt within the arsenal of other numerous tools that our editor used to search for his daily stories, the info that we read were not exactly as updated as it is now.

As such.. there was little profiteering....

Nowadays..
Everytime an article like "Fishing industry suffers after Philippine ferry tragedy"..
its a signal to the rest of the world to sing the same story line and move in for the kill of the general population.

Among other things, it has happened for oil, wheat, rice, ducks, chickens, eggs.. everytime a calamity of sorts happens to something, someone would make a depressing comment to signal how hard life is....and the next moment, his fortune turns for the better.

So... has internet improve our lives?? I wouldnt know. But i know it has benefited several parties... i.e the newspaper's chief editor. =>

Interestingly..
My estate management and MP is actually doing alot to beautify my neighbourhood. In addition to the usual lifts on every floor and cover walkways which we dont really need, they have decided to provide my family and i something to rave about to the rest of my relatives living in less well off estates.





A SOFA.
This is actually the 1st sofa that is available for public use in any estate. The rest of the estate has to contemplate with iron stools and stone benches. But not MINE.

When the sofa first appear, i was alittle peeved because i thought it was one of my inconsiderate neighbours dumping their old furnitures at a lift landing. But apparently, after 2 weeks, i've concluded that it must be a deliberate purchase by my town council. How can any responsible town council leave a piece of junk uncleared for 2 weeks?? I have afterall, not have any outstanding maintenance fee.. and we are govern by a socially responsible and non corrupted govt.

Good job, Hong Kah Town Council.

I would like to request for the position of the sofa to face away from the wall such that the old folks in my neighbourhood can also enjoy this very timely and prudent addition to my aging neighbourhood.

No, we will not give subsidies.
No, we will not artificially depress the fuel prices. We must price it in accordance with its fundamentals.
In fact, the only way around this is for our citizens to start utilizing our 1st class public transport system.
We will also provide help for the needy to offset the huge burden caused by inflation but we will give them very little because they are poor to start with and dont spend much.
And yes, we have tried our 1st class transport system on a bright early sunday morning with a special cabin catered to my bodyguards and i. The cabin was spacious and there was little crowd.
I really dont drive car... my lowly paid driver does the driving.
3 cheers for me... for all my effort in saving Mother Earth.

You guys have more things to worry about.... like how you going to repay the 50K debt you accumulate after buying some silly bags.

Or how about the rest of you...with like 200K over priced flats..

Not very sure if this is a new song... but i heard it over the radio couple of hours back.
Its been playing on my comp since i got home. The wonder of Youtube n all over websites that offer online streaming is that you can not spend a single cent and very little effort and yet get what you want.

I am officially sick of the song. =p
