For all the bad things that i have done...
Im finally 'reaping my rewards' now.

They say that during times of trouble, you would be able to see your true friends... Since im special, i was able to see my true friends during this festive period.

All names has been changed to protect my friends real identities.

On the first day of CNY.

Me : John, wat time can Max and i visit your house??

2 hours later..

John : Im at temple leh..

Me : Okie, we wait for you to return home..

24 hours later

Me : John, are you still at temple?

1 hour later

John : Haha... Im at my in laws place..

Me : Whats your in law's address?? Can we go your in law's place instead then??

2 hours later

John : XXXXXX address but we are leaving at 1 plus..

Me : Would you be returning home??

Im still waiting for john's reply.
Best part is... Max is complaining on MSN that i fly his aeroplane.
Max, if you are reading this, its really not my fault. For all we know, John hates you too.

Regards

Post no. 586

Been bumming around over the past few days due to this extended holiday break... which is a good thing. I definately feel like taking time off work... or rather off things i dont like to do and have been surfing the forums alot.

Let me just get this off my chest once and for all...

1) Im amaze how much people are willing to pay for crappy wedding photos.

2) And im amuse at how much someone with a DSLR would charge his potential clients and subsequently seek advise in forums asking for comments on his shots.

Theres definately money to be made in this industry given the number of willing unsuspecting clients.

Oh well, if theres one thing i learned over the past 29 years of my life... that would be
'What goes around, comes around.'

In a couple of minutes, we will usher in the Year of the Cow... Mooo...

Preparation for the new year started days ago.. I actually got time off from work to help mama with new year preparation.

Photobucket

Incidentally, this big pot of meat cost $70 thats daylight robbery. And i consider it money well spent because it going to be used for Nao heing.. <--however you spend it. Mama makes once every year. Its also one of the things i look forward to because it goes really well with chinese sweet sauce. Photobucket

All wrapped up. I deviated from Mama's usual Nao heing by including Nao Heing of different lengths. Hahaha....

Photobucket

My freezer compartment...

Photobucket

My fridge.. all packed with 'expensive' food. HAhahaha... Its amazing how prices can sky rocket during this period of the year. Pity my dearest Malay and Indian friends.. they have to put up with expensive food and its not even their fault.

Photobucket

Along the way, i got myself new bedsheets...

Photobucket

And went for a car wash...
Note that the blur pic is because of a very dirty windscreen. I can remember exactly when i last washed my car... 13th Sept. Kind of washed it in preparation for PKH's wedding...

Photobucket

Oh yes, CNY affects the prices of everything...

Photobucket

Not that anyone mind...look at the que. I was in the que for 20 mins!!!

Photobucket

Before...

Photobucket

After...
For the record... only the outside of my car is dirty. I clean my interior every week. =)

Photobucket

They say singaporeans are cutting back on spending... i seriously doubt so.

Photobucket

Woke up this morning to see Mama brewing a big pot of soup.

Photobucket

By afternoon, it has changed color..

Photobucket

By evening.. I was ready to get fat.

Photobucket

My brother obviously was more excited than me...

Oh well, the things that we go through every year. Not that i mind though.

HUAT AH!

I just woke up from my nap and was running through the news headlines and i found out that budget is ongoing from the numerous headlines.

I got excited for about 2 heartbeats and then realise that its Singapore that i live in...

I wonder what the small population of poor people living in 1&2 rooms will get for this budget.

Was talking to a friend on MSN and he mentioned he absolutely love this song.
This originate from the Li Nanxing / Zhen Hui Yue Gambling show in the 90s...

Nanxing was this talented gambler who lost and got out played time and time again by evil friends and fellow gamblers.
It got so bad that he had to stay in some canal to hide from his killers. That kind of got me asking why he didnt go gamble to win some money and migrate to europe or something. I would have done that...

Anyway, i digress. Heres the lyrics to this fantastic song...

I really need to learn to keep quiet..

Updated

The reason why i wrote what i wrote this morning was because of something that i read on a friend's blog..

I think i will just go charm more aunties and uncles. Yes, thats really what im good at doing.

"Consoling myself.....
I'm not lousy at my job, just that I'm doing something that I'm not good at.......
(HAIZ....................)"

Im not lousy at my job... im just not a scholar, and i also dont wear a skirt, and i dont like to pretend that i like anyone that i dont..

On the bright side... luckily, im talking about my overpaid part time job.

I was talking to a friend of mine about gays...

And he suddenly commented 'Through hardships, only then would you see true friends..'

Im a little puzzled how it all adds up but gays aside, i just want to comment on what he said.

It is not only true friends that you find during hard times, you will only find lots of other characters too during those times when you are down.

In my previous blog entry, i discussed how another friend tried to measure friendship using the amount of money i would be able to lend him during times of need.. these are but some benchmarks that you would be able to count upon to gauge your true friends.

Anyway, the discussion got me thinking if i were even be able to find a handful of friends (~5) to count on during times of needs..

I seriously doubt so. Everyone loves a winner these days.

Im deeply disturbed...after reading CNA's website.

"Police arrest suspect over attack on MP
By Asha Popatlal, Channel NewsAsia Posted: 11 January 2009 2103 hrs "

The Member of Parliament (MP) in question is Mr Seng Han Thong.

I just wanna check why is it always him? He was the same MP who got punched the other time???
Now he gets burned?
Hmmmm............

Ex-triad leader Tan Chor Jin cremated
By Cheryl Lim, Channel NewsAsia Posted: 11 January 2009 1906 hrs

So the talk around town is that Mr Tan donated his kidney to Mr Tang and that the reason behind this was because Mr Tan specified who the kidney should go to..

I just wanna check..
Didnt our dearest indon friends specifically want Mr Tang to have their kidneys too?

Im not very sure but i seriously think theres something fishy happening in Singapore everyday.. we just have to peel our eyes and look out for it.

On the bright side..
Just went to BOW 09 and didnt spend a single cent. Hahahah... Thats good news because Joyce and i have finally started looking at wedding packages. Despite our very slow start, im sure things will fall in place eventually. =)

On the not so bright side...
My middle finger hurts again. Sigh...

I would like to clarify certain things..

1) I did not back date my Post no 575.

2) I do not have friends inside SPH.

3) I do not know if anyone in SPH reads my blog.

I seriously think i can see the future...
Thats a good thing until you realise i have raised many controversial issues in my blog.

Welcome to the MATRIX. and im Neo...out to save the world (after he attends a ROM and visit BOW 09 this afternoon.)

P/S: Why is Mr Tang next in line for a kidney? NKF only got one patient on its waiting list?

Tang Wee Sung gets a transplant
By Teo Xuanwei, TODAY Posted: 10 January 2009 1035 hrs

Overheard
Mr Tang's Kidney was donated by One Eye Dragon.

"A family spokesperson told Weekend TODAY that 56-year-old Mr Tang's operation at the National University Hospital (NUH), which started in the "early morning" and took "about three hours", was successful"

"SINGAPORE: The man dubbed "one-eyed dragon" was hanged at Changi Prison on Friday morning."

In addition,

Under the Human Organ Transplant Act (HOTA), a living donor has to appear before a Transplant Ethics Committee (TEC) before a transplant can proceed. Among other things, the TEC has to determine that donor and recipient share a strong emotional relationship, if not blood ties, before granting authorisation.

Oh yes, they met in jail last year.

No disrespect to either parties but we really need some newsworthy articles instead of tabloids like these.

MVC (Monthly Variable Component) - Miracle component.

In good times...it will reflect the good performance of the company.

In bad times, companies would be able to cut back on this variable to allow more leeway to stay afloat and thus negating retrenchment.

Boss : Ah Seng, im sorry... the company has decided to let you go. Heres the severance package of 10 months pay for your 10 years in our company.

Ah Seng : Thanks Boss.... errmm...Boss, how come only 10K?? I earn 1.5K per month so shouldnt i get 15K??

Boss : The MVC ius a variable component, we cannot include it inside your severance package.

Ah Seng : ....

That’s just life
That’s just life

That’s just life
That’s just life

That’s just life
That’s just life

That’s just life
That’s just life

Looking at your friend's wedding album is not a good thing.

1) Your wife-to-be can rave and rant about how good your friend's album is and insist on getting the same photographer. Its fine until you realise that the photographer commands $160 per hour...

2) Your wife can end up quarreling with you because your wedding album pales in comparison to what your friend's photographer offered.

3) You realise that you need new equipments/toys to get the same effect..

Damn..
