"As if to underline that nothing is ever predictable in Formula One, Ferrari announced Wednesday evening that Michael Schumacher is to stand in for the injured Felipe Massa at the forthcoming Grand Prix in Valencia and beyond. " - www.F1-live.com

And with that... returns the greatest F1 driver of all time.
Seriously, Ferrari is in a mess. But hey... Michael might do them some good. Just a little...at least.

I got to see the F16s up close too..

Photobucket

And the Red Lions up close too...

Photobucket

In fact, i was right there with the leopards too.

This is a negative demostration. Dont learn from him.

Photobucket

How about an upclose with the color party?!

Watching the March-Past at the end of the parade got me inspired to be in the parade. I think i'll go talk to my boss on monday to see if we can explore my role in NDP 10.

I was so inspired after the previous post... on the mass walk.

i decided to join one myself.

Photobucket

Make no mistake... Im not expecting myself to run the usual 4 1/2 hours race. During the last few times that i ran, i ease through ippt with gold. In other words, i was extremely fit.

As of 26 July 2009, i have attempted Ippt 2009 once and failed it. Im looking forward to the race walk!

The Shape Run.

Or rather...

The Shape Big Walk.

All running events nowadays are very similar to walks. WHY?
Because of the sheer number of people participating in it.

Photobucket
Unless of course...you are leading the race.

Photobucket
You get lots of clean air and very personal close up shots.

Photobucket
If you are the chasing pack, you'll get a fair amount of attention too.

Photobucket
If you aint, you try to grab the attention of the camera by posing for it.

Photobucket
To some, its a walk in the park.

Photobucket
To others, its a loooong loong way to the finish line.

Photobucket
After a while, it gets very difficult to pick out any interesting character among the masses..

Photobucket
Unless of course, you happen to lose you way after shopping in Suntec and appears totally oblivious to the mass run walk.

Temasek and Charles Goodyear agree not to proceed with CEO appointment

This is what a circus is made of.

Amused. Totally.

Update

Temasek started showing interest in Goodyear in 2007. After 2 years of courting, Goodyear was put onto the board and subsequently given the post of CEO (D). Temasek then took 4 months to decide that he wasnt the right one.

Fantastic foresight and great perseverance! If u ask me? Its a waste of time and a whole lot of indecisiveness.

i packed my bags and left for tekong into the great unknown. My dad (who is now missing) drove my mum and i to Pasir Ris park to catch a bus to the Changi Terminal and subsequently a ferry to Tekong.

It was a ride that i vaguely remember. The days passed quickly. Weeks turned into months and years later, im still associated with the SAF.

Its been a fantastic 10 years. And im looking forward to my 20th year in service.

When i was younger, NDP was something that i look forward to each year. The hairs on my back always stood when they recite the pledge at the end of the parade.

Its been a long time since the hair on my back stood still.. i've missed NDP for 3 years straight and i'll most prob miss this year's NDP too.
I hope that i wont miss another NDP ever again....from next year onwards. =p

A friend from Uni asked me yesterday what stocks to buy to make money?

1) I feel honoured.

2) He actually believes that i have found the secret sure win way to make money.

3) He trusts me.

To satisfy him and all the readers of my blog...

Im looking to buy DBS. You should too....Just whack with all the money you can find in the world when the time is right.

Updated

Omg..
Im strongly suspecting that a friend of Joyce actually reads my blog.
Joyce told me over dinner that a friend of hers just brought DBS shares. Im seriously feeling really lousy now. Its my fault that she mis-interpreted my blog and blindly brought DBS shares.

Dear readers,
I re-iterate that DBS is only a good buy when the price is right.
However, if you choose to be one of those losers who uses the 'I buy to hold long term' reason when your punter picks are not making fantastic returns... go ahead and buy now.

DBS Target price - $20

Separate students during lunch to fight H1N1? But they can still meet at other areas - Stomp website

Thats why i love my workplace.
They readily dish out ROVW, Extras and every other disincentive imaginable to prevent the spread of H1N1 within the company.
Im proud to say that there is no reported cases of H1N1 at the workplace.

"Prices of HDB resale market stable for now
By Asha Popatlal, Channel NewsAsia
Posted: 08 July 2009 2328 hrs
.
.
:
Although HDB resale prices have risen in the last quarter, Mr Mah said there is no real cause for concern for now as long as there are no wild fluctuations in price movements and flat prices remain affordable. "

Mr Mah,

Affordable is obviously relative to each individual.
A chap on the street earns 5K (most of us wish we earn 5K a month but im doing this so that your comments do not look any more irresponsible than you already are) would have to buy a flat that cost 270K in ulu Sengkang or a 500K flat in prime locations like Redhill and Queenstown.

Even if we do not take into consideration interest rates and inflation/deflation.

The 270K flat would take 22 years to pay off while the 500K flat would take 40+ years to pay off if we come up with a 1K payment per month.
Most of us dont even save that much when we are a swinging bachelor! How are we expected to do that when we have a family?

Is that affordable? Definately if we earn 1.2 million a year like some of us residing in this country.
Talk is cheap.

Regards
Still a PAP supporter

Updated:
I was thinking... The HDB prices are higher than they ever been and my leaders are saying that they are stable/cheap.. its obviously incoherent.

So..

Is there something that my leaders are trying to tell me?
I can only guess they meant that i should be looking at private properties..
How much do you think you can save in a year?

I know this is a love song... but if you think of it in terms of my job..
I had the most fantastic 3 weeks of the year by being away from work and attending a couple of courses.
I spent most part of the 2nd course napping and playing worms on my handphone with my coursemate. I was seriously ready to get back to work yesterday.. but as the day wore on, i was reminded why i hated my workplace..

Oh well, good things do not last.

Looking forward to the next course.

Dear all,

I was told to work overtime today so my colleagues can wayang in some discussion.

Subsequently,

i was told that my promotion would be affected because of H1N1.

All this happens after afew young and impressionable chaps asked me if they are expected to carry the responsibilities of the entire company if H1N1 strikes our wayang counterparts at the other office.
I took a look at the pool of people residing in the same room as me and told him not to worry. The people at the other office are wayanging to some other people higher up in the food chain.

As you can see, besides being overpaid, my job seriously sucks.
