Im getting old.

The body is taking too long to recover from bouts of flu.
The body is also feeling tired easily nowadays. Getting home at 7pm and falling asleep by 10pm leaves me very little time to do anything else. maybe i should quit my job

On the bright side, i have gotten myself acquainted with Cruz Teng. After a chance meeting with him 2 months back over supper... i had an opportunity to attend a wedding during which he was one of the groom's brothers.

And heres the reason why we should all start a family of our own.

Im going to make a bold prediction..

In the future, all wedding photographers would ever need for their assignments is a wide angle lens.

And its all the fault of the govt and HDB.

*Wide Angle - 11mm.
Your Point & Shoot - 28mm
Your Kit lens / Expensive Events Lens - 25mm.

If you are unsure on what you need.... buy everything.

Comes with a price though.

And since these men has already spent so much on food... they can most prob spend a little more for expensive cooking devices.

Rojak stall owner faces court action over mass food poisoning
By Lynda Hong, Channel NewsAsia Posted: 14 April 2009 2229 hrs

I have not been bitching alot.
But thats not because i have fallen in line and started to conform. m not bitching because i know that bitching would get me nowhere.
In fact, it gets me into trouble sometimes...

Anyway, i like to congratulate NEA and MOH for their good hard work over the past week. Its about time they started working and earnign their keeps.

As for the Rojak store owner...
I wished i had tried your rojak prior to this incident. I used to be abig fan of indian rojak until i realise that paying $10++ for a plate of flour isnt exactly a smart thing to do...
Nevertheless, Good Luck for your impending trial. The govt wouldnt be exactly kind if they are looking for a scrapgoat but we can all be hopeful.

Post no. 718

Dear all..

I told alot of lies today.

I told them so that i could sit in the stands and watch a S league Match.
Yesyes. S league. After 10 years in Singapore, i finally got around watching one of them LIVE.

But i dont like to watch S league. I was there because i wanted to prove that i can do better than some guy with expensive camera gears.

The S league experience started decent enough... this was because i was given free tickets. HAhahah...

But it turn 'bad' quickly because some security guard decided that i cannot sit in the stand because i was using a big black camera.
After failing to convince me to keep my camera, he brought along an official from FAS..

Security Guard (SG) / FAS OFFICIAL (FO) : Sir, you cannot take photo in the stadium.
Man with BIG BLACK CAMERA (MBBC) : WHY?

SG / FO : Because your camera is a professional camera.
MBBC : Im using it because im rich and i can afford it (Lie no. 1 : Obviously not true. Im using the MBBC because i love to show off)

SG / FO : Nono, for these matches.. you cannot use these cameras as you can see everything with your camera.
MBBC : Without the camera...i can also see (Lie no. 2 : I cant see without my glasses)

SG / FO : Sir, its the same everywhere. Football matches cannot allow the use of professional cameras.
MBBC : Cant be. I shot the Champions league in europe before and i never had these trouble. ( Truth : I did shoot the last champions league match... except that i was watching on my TV and i wanted to see if i can freeze the frame with my BIG BLACK CAMERA)

SG / FO : Sir, if you insist on using your camera, you would have to come with me to get an official vest and pass. You can only shoot from the sideline.
MBBC : Why cant you let me be a fan and allow me to sit in the stands?? ( Lie no. 3 : Im not a S league Fan. )

After failing to convince me with all sorts of excuses to keep my camera, SG and FO decided to let me be and made me promise that i will email them to follow up on the Official pass issue tomorrow.
I agreed. And of course...i lied again. i aint going to do it. HAhahahah...

And with regard to the pics...

I lost those images that i took during a recent prata trip with my friends. They were most prob deleted from my card while i was prep-ing for last sat's shoot.

Before you go away thinking that i screwed up...i would like to offer you an alternative view.

"Im so good at shooting and am shooting so often on so many occasions that i cannot keep up anymore."

So before i lose any pics again..

Photobucket

This was very good. And very expensive. Darn.

Photobucket

This was very sinful. Aint going to do my ippt any good.

Photobucket

Errr... aint good for my ippt too.

Photobucket

Some combination plate at No Signboard Seafood. These were free. HAhahaha....

Photobucket

Free too. And my primary school friends added 'extra' prawns to make the bowl look full.
For the record, they took back the prawns after i shot the pic. Darn.

Photobucket

These were sinfully good. And...

I've been doing photography for awhile.

In photography, theres this very cliche term ' The moment '. Its define as the time that a particular very rare scene occur and upon its occurence, it will not happen ever again.

When i was doing wedding photography, alot of wedding photographers glorify this term. So much so that all their pics turn out to be abstract art (read : funnily skewed, strangely cropped and very noisey <-- a by product of being not ready for the shot...if u ask me.) Im not sure how many of these wedding couples or the friends of the wedding couple or the parents and relatives of the couple end up liking the very 'momentic' pics.

And because i was in the midst of all these, i was able to appreciate first hand the crap and cartload of bull shit that someone with a DSLR can come up with while trying to imitate the good wedding photographers.
Yes... MOST OF YOU ARE CRAP!

Okie, i digress. Wedding are not the only occasion that is filled with 'Moments'
In fact, Sports photography offers whole lot of moments too without the usual truckload of artistic crap..
