I saw him won something at a wedding show.
Now...shouldnt wedding shows be reserved for people who are getting married? I could have taken his place and won that free brunch at St Regis..

Im writing to St Regis to complain about the mis-management of the lucky draw.

Feels Cheated

Updated

While writing the complain letter, i figured that the couple who won the 1st prize (which incidentally includes 2 nites stay in the St Regis Suite both in Singapore and Bali) might also be married. As such, im putting in my recommendations to the hotel that they bring in the CPIB to investigate.

Post no. 757

1.5 month of headless fanatic running has finally come to an end... finally. I think i have done enough to earn my pay for the rest of the year.
In fact, i also might have spend enough money buying breakfast and lunch for my workmates to feed a staving African orphan for 1 year.

$70 can buy lots and lots of Kosong pratas...
$200 can buy quite a few pizzas...
$50 can buy lots of snacks and coffee..
and the daily bubble tea and lunches..

I feel like a charity.

im going back to slacking again.

"Spending on groceries rises as Singaporeans eat out less
By Jessica Yeo, Channel NewsAsia Posted: 25 May 2009 2226 hrs

SINGAPORE : A recent survey showed that Singaporeans are turning to home cooked meals and eating out less, due to economic reasons.

Households are now spending an average of 14 per cent more a month on overall expenses compared to last year, in part due to higher food prices.
...."

Once again...
I was too myopic to see the real reason behind the increase. When i read the headline, my first thoughts were..

"...OF COURSE LAH... N*U* sells their wares expensive, my average spending each month also increase lah...."

Little did i know... everyone is getting more family orientated.

"Won't Go Home Without You" - Maroon 5

I asked her to stay but she wouldn't listen
She left before I had the chance to say
Oh...
The words that would mend the things that were broken
But now it's far too late, she's gone away

Every night you cry yourself to sleep
Thinking: "Why does this happen to me?
Why does every moment have to be so hard?"
Hard to believe that

It's not over tonight
Just give me one more chance to make it right
I may not make it through the night
I won't go home without you

The taste of your breath, I'll never get over
The noises that she made kept me awake
Oh
The weight of things that remained unspoken
Built up so much it crushed us everyday

Every night you cry yourself to sleep
Thinking: "Why does this happen to me?
Why does every moment have to be so hard?"
Hard to believe that

It's not over tonight
Just give me one more chance to make it right
I may not make it through the night
I won't go home without you

It's not over tonight
Just give me one more chance to make it right
I may not make it through the night
I won't go home without you

Of all the things I felt but never really shown
Perhaps the worst is that I ever let you go
I should not ever let you go, oh oh oh

It's not over tonight
Just give me one more chance to make it right
I may not make it through the night
I won't go home without you

It's not over tonight
Just give me one more chance to make it right
I may not make it through the night
I won't go home without you
And I won't go home without you
And I won't go home without you
And I won't go home without you

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just give me one more chance to make it right...

Im about to head to bed...
But before i go, a friend of mine pop by MSN to ask me 'Hows the market?'

In recent weeks, my office has been abuzz with Stock Market Fever... this is so after another co worker of mine made some handsome profit in the recent sucker rally.

Yes. Sucker Rally.

U know what? Im sticking to my prediction made earlier this year. Singapore will most prob ride out the current crisis with less damage than most would have initially thought. But thats really this year.

How about next year?

Tough luck if you are heavily invested in the market now... there will be lots of opportunities soon.
I'll tell you when.

There are seriously some very good photographers out there.. and clubsnap is a good site to discover such gems.

And these photographers used very decent hardware too...camera stuffs are so cheap nowadays..
D700 Nikkor 24-70mm f/2.8, 105mm f/2.8, SB900 Sigma 50mm f/1.4

Lastly, they like to publicise their works. Which some of them are really good.

Shall attempt to finish the other wedding by today.

Yesyes... Im just like the rest of the wedding photographers. Lure into this by the loads of good money and slipshot work. Look at how impeccable my timing are. I wasnt allowed to back to office yesterday. As a demonstration of defiance, i called in sick. But because i was so responsible, i actually sneak back to office at 0540hrs to clear my work before i went to the doctor.

Actually, that was secondary.. because my office was located in the east and very near to the rising sun, there was extra incentive to clear out my work quickly and go catch the rising sun.

But as fate would have it... i didnt leave office till about 0715hrs. By then, the golden hours were over and as such, i didnt really have anything to show.. =(

Singapore may have seen worst of economic slowdown
By Timothy Ouyang, Channel NewsAsia Posted: 04 May 2009 2114 hrs

http://punyshrimp.blogspot.com/2008/12/post-no-566.html

I have an engineering degree. The closest i ever been to doing anything related to finance was an Accounting module 6 years ago which i scored a big FAT C.

I always knew i was ahead of my time. Its abit hard to convince people to see things my way. However, i do not blame them. Not everyone would go on to become a millionaire. Most of us are just pretenders.

SMRT's train frequency to be reduced if flu alert hits red
By Kheng Siong & Lynda Hong, Channel NewsAsia Posted: 04 May 2009 2123 hrs

Thats why i would never ever join the ranks of PAP or any stat board as a leader.. I simply do not have the foresight to see beyond the obvious.

With my myopic 6/6 vision, i thought it would have been a good idea to increase the frequency of public transport so that there is less a chance of someone with the virus to spread on a very crowded public transport.

But...NO. The guys at SMRT obviously looked beyond the prob and think out of the box. Good job!
