Dear all..
Im ready for year 2008!
In the financial world, as each year unfolds, a particular theme would emerge as the 'tagline' for the economy front.
In 2004/5, it was the jobless recovery.
In 2006, it was the high fuel prices.
In 2007, it the housing loan woes.
What would it be in 2008?
On the political front,
In 2003/4/5, it was the WAR against Terror.
In 2006, it was the stabilisation of Iraq after sporadic fighting erupts all over ground Zero. In fact, there were also the HAMAS conflicts.
In 2007, it was a combination of everything with no clear direction. Either that or just everyone is sick of the old story over and over again.
In Singapore, We have to grapple with issues like
2004, Save the Tsunami victims..
2005, NKF Saga.
2006, Youth Challenge Saga.
2007, Ren Ci Hospital Saga, increasing inflation..
As we move forward into the new year, I hope 2008 will be filled with lots of turmoils and upheaval... yes, you heard me right. Not in the disasters sense but in the 'lots of changes' sense.
Hold on to your seats.... this is going to be one hell of a year. =) Dont say i never warn you.
Regards

Post No. 255
Dear all,
Happy Holidays! This is a little late becoz i've been simply spending too much time merrying making. Hahah...
Im still waiting for myMadza MX 5, omega watches christmas presents. Its already late but i guess good things comes to those who wait... sooo...im not really complaining.
Anyway, Just before the holidays, i was at JB for some merry making. In fact, it was earlier this month but i was a little caught up and thus the late entry..
It got off to a bad enough start when i realise the people that im travelling with have wierd habits.. (let name him 'Goken' for simplicity)
This is the pool at a condo where my friend lives... It was suppose to be our meeting point since i didnt wanna drive..
And then, when i decided to peep out to check out the babes at the swimming pool, i got more than an eyeful... =(
More bad news in store... when we got to the carpark, we have a flat tyre. =( This is definately a lousy day to travel.
Unhelpful Pose 1.
Unhelpful Pose 2.
Unhelpful Pose 3.
Unhelpful Pose 4. Definately a bad start... =(
2 hours later.. hahaha... are on our way!
Unhelpful clouds.. sigh. It did rain subsequently and we couldnt go karting. =(
My other dearest friend. Lets call him 'Armstrong'. Frankly, this isnt a very helpful pose too.. This is most prob the rain dance.
My clerk's family.
More of my clerks.. hahaha...
Decided to have curry fish head for lunch... Not very appetising, is u ask me...
But it did turn out fine. =)
Check out the steaming pot curry.
Dun be mislead by this 2 ladies who appear to be nonchalent about the curry... I had to fight with them for the goodies throughout lunch.. hahaha...
Where did my fishhead go?
Nevermind... =(
Errrm.... we were bored. No go karting...and we had to settle for shopping. =(
Goken obviously like barney and spongebob. He thinks both of them are gay...
Finally, something appealing. Hahaha...Baskin Robbins.
Goken couldnt wait to sit down before enjoying his ice-cream.
3 cups of icecream cost us close to $20! =(
Things aint cheap...
10 mins later...
Errrmm....Okie, we understand. Goken...pls stop it.
Dinner time. Seafood.
HAhaha...at kelong, no less.
I see Singapore!
Me and my coconut.
Veron and her coconut.
She looks to be looking for something more than coconut flesh...
Linlin and her coconut.
Am i missing out on something?
Couldnt find oysters...soo...had to settle for cheapie oyster lookalike. hahaha...
Crabs! Frankly, i tot the ones at No signboard and Melban taste nicer.
Crabs and seafood make us do silly things...
Before we went back, we actually stop by to find Ramby burgers. Im not a big fan but apparently, those sold in malaysia are so much better than the ones in Singapore.
Hahah....
Oh well, that concluded my trip to Malaysia. Let me post the pics of my trip to Japan next.
Ya rite...once i book my tickets and really visit Japan, im sure u guys would be the first to read it..
Regards

Post no. 254
Some time back, I realise that alot of people like to wear their emotions on MSN.
MSN inevitably become a way of broadcasting their feelings to the world. Either that, or they hope that the one person who made them feel bad would somehow read their MSN caption and pity them somehow make them feel better..
Some of the more inspirational MSN captions i've seen thus far includes..
1) To be or not to be <---obviously a copycat from some famout poet..
2) 90% complete. Dun noe have 400HP anot <---Obviously a car fanatic..
3) Dont let anyone steal your dreams. They tell, you cant, because they themselves cant do it.. <-- Hmmm...
4) Your life is an occasion, rise to it..
But the ultimate one is a pic.
No wonder they say...' A pic speaks a thousand words...'

Post no. 253
Im a very lazy person.
How lazy? My dearest very fast red vios is 1.5 years old. The number of times that i washed it can be counted with my 2 hands. The number of times i polish the car.... NIL.
In fact, sometimes, my car resembles a rally car. Not that its fast and furious and has lots of horsepower... it just look like one. Yes, it hard not to look like one with those dried mud streaks.
Some weeks back, i finally decided that enough is enough. I need to do something about the car.
And frankly, it was a job too big for me. I will most prob die from waxing/polishing my car...if i have to. And really, i dont know how to do a decent job.
So...i took it to a professional groomer.
Before the treatment..
Note the numerous white spots. Those are really not snow flakes..
Work in progress... its already looking good... The bonnet, at least.
Hes trying to remove my scratches from my bumper. Hahaha.... about a year back, i got into an accident and was compensated with $250. I never got around fixing those scratches..
Omg...its bad, isnt it?
Omg x 2... its really bad.
Work in progress..
Work in progress 2......
Work in progress 3.....
Still in progress....
And it has to rain... =( Sigh..
Check out the number of people fussing over the car.. hahaha...
Tada....
Tada x 2.....
Tada x 3...
Well, Vios is cleaned and ready for the new year... and i wasted one entire day for the grooming. EIGHT FREAKING HOURS! Thats how long i was there watching my car get grind down and polished. Sheese.... $105 dollars poorer.
I was just chatting with the groomer and he says if i send it in for regular polishing (i.e every 3 monthly), i will only need to go for the basic package of $38 dollars.
After very detailed calculations....
1 year = 4 times = 4 x $38 = $152
1.5 years = $152 x 1.5 = $228
I think i will see the groomer in 1.5 years time.
Regards
Happy Car Owner.
