Perceptions are the truth

When i was younger, i have always wanted to be a super hero.
Perhapes it was becoz i had too much time on my hands and i wasnt very keen on studying hard and getting infront of all the rats...err...my peers. So i spent a fair amount of time dreaming of which super hero i wanna be.



Superman was always one of my favourite. Even up to now.

But since im quite sure that i cant fly, i started looking for more 'realistic' heros.

A few names crop up but in recent years, my little toe wiggle each time i watched Matrix. This lead me to conclude that my true calling is to be 'THE ONE', Neo.

Yes, i dun look anything like Neo and i dun have a single peice of black clothing. *My favorite color is white incidently and i have like a dozen of white polo-t* but i figure i can NEO all the same as long as i master his gravity defying moves.

One of my all time favourite moves by NEo was to see him suspend in the air while doing his karata kick and deep inside me *somewhere*, i really felt i could do the same.

So i came up with this scenerio that if ever a car was to come charging at me, i would run straight at it and jump on the bonnet followed by a reverse spin into midair followed by a perfect 10 pointer landing at the back of the car. Nevermind that i might sprain my ankle or back while doing the reverse spin in mid air. Looking good is everything if u wanna be Neo.

I had that scene anchored in my mind for the longest time....

But of course, Life is full of surprises and you can never be too prepared for anything....

This morning while rushing to take my first paper, a 1985 BMW 3 series (almost knock me down at a pesdestrian crossing. it was travelling at about 20km/hr)came charging at me while i was crossing the road.

Wasnt surprising that i didnt managed to execute any of the above mentioned moves and all i mustered was to turn and hit the dirty, old car real hard on the bonnet. No jump, no reverse spin and no perfect 10 pointer landing. The car stopped. The driver look stunned. He wound down his windows and he looked as if he was trying to apologise but i juz looked on and hurried away disappointed that i didnt do my reverse spin to take my first paper....

Shacks... soo much for planning.
