Post no. 47
Hi all..
Im back. After 10 days of trekking (in the city) in aust, yours truely is finally back in singapore. I must apologise for leaving abruptly since i didnt blog one last time before i left but thats what happens when you pack your bags 4 hours before you leave. You tend to be caught up deciding the number of underwears you will bring on the trip.
For the record, i brought 3.
Anyway..
Since i touched down last nite, i have come to realise that I, like everyone else, tends to take things for granted when its in abundance.
Im panting as i speak due to the high humidity that singapore experieces and the constant 32 degrees instead of the cool 15 degrees that i experience in aust.
Shacks.....im going to miss the cool weather in aust.
Besides that..im going to miss the following too...
1) Nothing.
HAhahahaha..... Okoki, i know im going to be cut to pieces for that since there are many aussie supporters out there even in singapore (millions of singapore students get their papers from aust every year) but frankly.....Theres really really nothing else that i miss except the weather.
And just in case anyone is interested, while in aust, i've come to realise that home (thats wherever you live, to me, its SINGAPORE) is probably the best place on earth despite the hot humid weather.
Notice that i keep empahsising on just the weather...
Brings me to wonder why many of my friends often sing praises about aust after going there for holidays or studying there for a couple of years. Some goes as far as becoming PR and staying there for good.
I could only come up with 2 conclusions...
1) Im a pampered idiot who needs someone to service my every needs (in this case, its most prob my mum. Disclaimer : The level of service has dropped drastically over the years and i have been cleaning my own room and making my own bed for as long as i remember)
2) My friends saw something in aust that i didnt...
Nvmind, to each his own. I'll blog more on what i saw in aust over the next dozen post and post as many of the approx 5000 pics that me and my friends took during the 10 days...
Till then, i think my mum is celebrating my return with the following... *another reason why i love this place....*
The following can only constitude to one thing...
Life is good....as long as im home.
=)
