Post No. 454
I'm never going to wait till the last moment to charge my batteries anymore.
I woke up the other day to find my charger flashing. It can only mean one thing...
My batteries aint charged. Instead of 8 batteries, i have only 4.
That aint so bad until you realise you have a top of the line 'big a**' flash. Well, in other words, im really screwed.
I have the entire morning ahead of me and only 4 fresh batteries. I contemplated to buy AA batteries but somehow, stingy me decided otherwise... Bad bad mistake...
With 4 fresh batteries, off i went to cover my 1st AD wedding shoot...
7 hours later, i realise that a Photojournalist and a Wedding Photographer can never be the same person.
A Photojournalist looks for opportunities to shoot.
A Wedding Photographer knows what to shoot...
If you hire a photojournalist to shoot your AD wedding, you will most prob spend 3 days shooting and end up with not more than a 2 dozen of photos... A wedding photographer, on the other hand will show you 5 million photos of different poses and tempt you to buy 1/2 of them...
Nevertheless, i really did enjoy the experience...although i wished i had fresh batteries for the entire day... =(
And fresh off the oven....
Pic 1 - Im going to convince joyce to rent a Maserati for our wedding.. just to outdo everyone else..
Pic 2 - Craigven & Annie.
Pic 3 - Flash is dying.. and its only 7.30 am.
Pic 4 - Flash dies on me for the shot. Shot was totally underexposed. im amazed that i even got it to look decent..
Pic 5 - Look...No flash needed. Love the sun.
Pic 6 - I totally love this shot. Btw, its not a 'posed' shot. Anyone whohas gotten married would know that all shots are posed. I.e your hands are placed in a certain way because it would look good in the photo.
This is a photojournalist style of shooting..
Pic 7 - The evil 'sisters'. All sisters are evil.
Pic 8 - Group shoot. I love the processing.. =)
Pic 9 - Huat Ah!
Regards
Well Wisher
