Perceptions are the truth

In a couple of minutes, we will usher in the Year of the Cow... Mooo...

Preparation for the new year started days ago.. I actually got time off from work to help mama with new year preparation.



Incidentally, this big pot of meat cost $70 thats daylight robbery. And i consider it money well spent because it going to be used for Nao heing.. <--however you spend it. Mama makes once every year. Its also one of the things i look forward to because it goes really well with chinese sweet sauce.

All wrapped up. I deviated from Mama's usual Nao heing by including Nao Heing of different lengths. Hahaha....



My freezer compartment...



My fridge.. all packed with 'expensive' food. HAhahaha... Its amazing how prices can sky rocket during this period of the year. Pity my dearest Malay and Indian friends.. they have to put up with expensive food and its not even their fault.



Along the way, i got myself new bedsheets...



And went for a car wash...
Note that the blur pic is because of a very dirty windscreen. I can remember exactly when i last washed my car... 13th Sept. Kind of washed it in preparation for PKH's wedding...



Oh yes, CNY affects the prices of everything...



Not that anyone mind...look at the que. I was in the que for 20 mins!!!

For the record... only the outside of my car is dirty. I clean my interior every week. =)



They say singaporeans are cutting back on spending... i seriously doubt so.



Woke up this morning to see Mama brewing a big pot of soup.



By afternoon, it has changed color..



By evening.. I was ready to get fat.



My brother obviously was more excited than me...

Oh well, the things that we go through every year. Not that i mind though.
