Dear all...
The roads are congested. Period.
The govt policies are not working. ERP is a pain in the arse and COE prices are at all time low because all of us have 'wise up' over the last decade to realise that bidding increments can be as little as $1...
Some time ago, i sat myself down and decided that its time i 'put on my thinking cap' and save LTA, Singapore and all my fellow suffering road users.
Im very happy to inform the readers of my blog that i am in the midst of submitting my formal proposal to the PMO and the LTA office for their consieration.
To enhance traffic flow and ease congestion on the road, i propose the following..
1) Ban TAXIs.
Every other guy on the street drives a car. Why do we still need taxis?
Based on figures provided by LTA.gov.sg, there are 25000 Taxis running on our roads each day. Banning them would take 25000 vehicles off the road.
2) Impose a Tax on all parents who drive their children to school. In fact, build schools only in HDB heartland. I cannot understand why there need to be schools in Stevens Road and Bukit Timah.. Tear downRaffles girls all those schools that does not reside in the heartland.
3) Raise the min age that a Singaporean can learn to drive from 18 to 30 years old.
25% of all drivers on the street are below 30 years old. By implementing such a rule, we take 25% of all cars off the street.
We save some lives in the process and we get some loose change to buy those very expensive HDB flats..
Im seriously looking forward to coffee with Mr Raymond Lim and an invite to the istana to rub shoulders with our leaders in the near future..
