Post no. 945
As i continue to seep my coffee in the corner of my pantry, i cant help but overhear a conversation between my ex-boss and a ex colleague..
Lets call them Fido and Drama to protect their identity.
*Fido fishes $50 from his wallet and hands it to Drama
Fido : Go buy lunch for the crew.
Drama : Oki, sir.
Fido: I can treat but make sure there is no wastage.
Drama : Oki, sir. I will eat the wastage if any...
I cant help but think to myself..
While the gesture of treating lunch is a good one.. why impose the additional caveat? Its like, im donating money to the poor but demand that the charity only help the poorest and the most pitiful, if not, im going to report them to CPIB and accuse them of mis-using my donation.
The analogy is not entirely accurate but the underlying reasoning is a very simple one..
"if you wanna do a good deed, dont do a half fu*k one."
Regards
Big Hearted.
