SMRT Corporation said the location surcharge is in response to a request from the management of Marina Bay Sands to reduce the waiting time for taxis at its premises. "
Only in Singapore will we have competition coupled with ever rising prices (think : Starhub vs Singtel, SMRT vs SBS).
Only in Singapore will competitors team up together to offer exclusive content, exclusive routes and whatever else there is so as to avoid competition at all cost and maximise profit.
Regardless, im not sure about you folks but its almost embarrassing to read the response from SMRT coporation.
